In August 2024, we completed the batch delivery of roll-up doors to Djibouti, with an export volume of 310 units and an export value of 5.8 million yuan. This marked the company's first large-scale export to the East African market. Compared to the ordinary roll-up door category, the unit price increased by 41%, making it the company's first special equipment product to enter the East African fire protection market. These products will be supplied to the Djibouti National Fire Bureau, adapting to the emergency protection system upgrade of the country's oil terminals and free trade zone fire vehicles.
The fire truck roll-up doors exported this time adopt an inorganic fiber composite base material and stainless steel frame structure. The core conforms to the GB14102-2005 super fire protection standard, with a fire resistance limit of 3.0 hours, and the maximum temperature rise on the backside is controlled within 140°C. At the same time, they passed the 120 km/h strong wind load test, suitable for the hot, humid and windy climate of the coastal area of Djibouti. Lin Jianjun, the technical director of Hengtai Door Industry, introduced: "The product is equipped with an electromagnetic linkage opening device. In case of fire, it can respond synchronously with the fire control system, with an opening and closing time of ≤ 45 seconds. It also has a manual emergency operation function. After SGS testing, its salt spray corrosion resistance performance reaches 720 hours, far exceeding the standard of ordinary industrial roll-up doors." It is reported that the unit price of this batch of products ranges from 12,000 to 18,000 yuan per unit, 30% lower than the cost of similar products in Europe.
It is understood that these goods were shipped from Ningbo Port and arrived at Djibouti Dohar Port after a 21-day sea voyage. Through the special equipment logistics line of COSCO Shipping, they achieved 4-hour rapid customs clearance through the "green channel" between China and Djibouti customs, shortening 6 days compared to the traditional fire equipment customs clearance time. "Djibouti is an important energy transfer port along the Red Sea. The fire prevention and control demand for the oil terminals and free trade zone is urgent, but its dependence on imported fire equipment exceeds 85%," said Liu Min, the export manager of Hengtai Door Industry. This cooperation originated from the bidding requirements of the Djibouti Fire Bureau for vehicle emergency protection components, becoming another breakthrough for the company in the African market after civilian roll-up doors.
As an important energy transfer port along the Red Sea, the Djibouti oil terminal has an annual throughput of 20 million tons. Recently, it has launched a fire system upgrade project, with a sharp increase in the demand for special protective equipment.
